About the Architect

Joseph Washington, Jr.

U.S. Air Force Veteran | Political Strategist | Public Affairs Advisor

Joseph Washington, Jr. is a political strategist, public affairs advisor, and Founder of Bridgepoint Collective, LLC, a Houston-based consultancy built at the intersection of strategy, communications, and community.

His path to politics was anything but conventional, and that’s exactly what makes his counsel different.

Joseph grew up in New Orleans, LA, where civic life and community were not abstractions. After serving honorably in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces member, he entered the corporate word with the same discipline and mission focused the military instilled in him. At Accenture one of the world’s leading consulting firms, he worked as a Change Management Consultant focused on strategic communications — advising clients across finance, technology, local and state government, utilities, and more. He went on to serve as a Change Manager at NRG Energy before launch his own independent consultancy, where he led communications and organizational strategy engagements in biopharmaceuticals and oil & gas.

Throughout every chapter of that corporate career, Joseph never stopped showing up for his community. He volunteered campaigns, supported civic initiatives, and stayed deeply engaged in the political process — because he believed then, as he does now, that the right people in office and the right policies passed make a measurable difference in people’s lives.

When he founded Bridgepoint Collective, it wasn’t a pivot. It was an arrival.

Today, Joseph brings a rare combination of military-trained leadership, Fortune 500 consulting experience, and key relationships to every engagement. He works directly with candidates, advocacy organizations, nonprofits, and civic institutions — not as a staffer, but as a trusted strategic advisor — helping them shape narrative, build coalitions, and move with the clarity and purpose their communities deserve.

Above all, Joseph is a proud father to his children, Ashton and Noelle — a daily reminder of why the work of building stronger, more equitable communities matters.

The Bridgepoint Approach

Clarity. Intention. Community.

Every engagement starts with an honest assessment — of where you are, where you need to go, and what it actually takes to get there. Joseph doesn’t tell clients what they want to hear. He tells them what they need to know.

Strategy built on service. Counsel grounded in experience. Results measured by impact.
